Today has been actually a pretty good day, which is weird, I'm kinda just sitting here waiting for the other shoe to drop (You know, t hat shoe). I'm driving to Virginia on Monday, roughly 13 hours and then the one hour time difference from the Gulf Coast. Out of curiosity I check the Googles to see how much more time a detour to Tail of the Dragon will take; two hours. Two measly hours . This might be happening. I went last August and had an absolute blast, this time will probably just be driving up some decent roads to get there, drive the tail, eat lunch/dinner/whatever and leave. I didn't have the new engine last time I went, and that and the seats are the only major changes so it will be interesting to see how much of a difference it actually makes if I end up doing it.

Oh wait, you guys need pictures right? Here's the boost gauge I bought tonight.

Not good enough? Fine. Have a bitchin' hot rod.

I do not know how it is related to a boost gauge or tail of the dragon. I don't care, it's beautiful.

I planned to go for my first time last weekend but my sister got sick causing me to go *shudder* lower than the speed limit on the really fun roads. Im hopeing to go back before winter (quattro will not help me with summer tires)

I don't understand the fascination with this road. I live near the damn thing

Too many idiots on motorcycles in the other lane, too many blind corners, and too many "Time attack, Bro!" idiots lapping the thing.

You know they take semis and dump trucks on this road too?

They're are way better roads with less people on them in the area.

I live 30mins from it, and the only things that bother me are the semis! There are some other good roads around, but none in the whole country equal it, much less the area.

you wouldn't happen to be yelling at those damn kids to get off your lawn (again) while typing this are you? lol

i can only assume you're spoiled with so many nice roads near you. around chicago, the only change in road elevation are from the potholes that develop over the winter

Want me to get off your lawn as well?

I'm actually more of a fan of moonshiner 28, turns are more sweeping and the scenery is better.

I am a bit spoiled lol. If you a looking for a good drive, there are safer ones than the Dragon.

I did wish we had more roads to cruise on though.

I like the Moonshiner 28 better too.

I did the dragon a few times last time, along with Cherohala skyway, moonshiner 28, and portions of other roads that I got lost on. Overall a fun time, way better to do everything than just the dragon. I did just buy a GoPro Hero today, so I will have video this time!
